Mallory Sheard

Mallory Sheard

Mallory currently serves as a member of the Additional Meeting Committee in Relief Society. Her favorite hymns are the primary songs When I Am Baptized, Families can be Together Forever, I Love to see the Temple, and I am A Child of God. She loves the basic principles of the gospel taught in these songs and how they are a reminder of what is really important. Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Mallory grew up in southern Idaho and then met her husband, Brockton, while they were students at BYU-Idaho through a mutual friend. They had the typical fast BYU-Idaho courtship and were engaged less than two months after their first date (which she always said she would never get engaged that fast) and they were married two months later. It was the perfect start to their happily ever after. They have since added to that happiness with two children, Kenzie and Parker.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a Biology minor, and is certified to teach secondary education. She loved student teaching but doesn’t want to teach anymore. In college she worked at a bridal store selling wedding dresses and loved it because it was like playing dress up with real life Barbie’s all day.  Now she enjoys her full time job as a wife and mother

Some of her favorite activities include family bike rides on the Centennial Trail or Burke Gilman Trail, hiking, playing board games (Ticket to Ride is her absolute favorite and she could play it over and over!), craft projects with the Silhouette, making digital memory books, shopping and working out. She likes listening to country music and enjoys watching home makeover shows. She loves cooking pretty much any recipe from Our Best Bites. She also enjoys traveling to see family in other states. One of her goals is to travel to all 50 states, and her current count is 20 states.

Mallory dreams of being better at things like organization, not procrastinating, being early or on time way more often, and putting together really fun and cute themed parties. But what is most important to her is continuing to develop and maintain a relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ, following his commandments and building a safe haven in her home for her family.
