Ginny Schilaty

Ginny Schilaty

Ginny is the Relief Society President. She was an Elementary School principal for 22 years and loved it! But now she is very happy to be retired.

Ginny's theme song is Zippity-Do-Dah! She loves Roses, pies, the smell of the ocean, detective shows (especially N.C.I.S.) and can't watch National Treasure enough times. She enjoys playing the guitar and banjo and loves kayaking with friends in the Sound and lakes but does NOT like cleaning the bathroom. She would hire a maid if given the option. When she has 30 minutes of free time she will most likely do Family History research. If Ginny won a million dollars she would create college and mission funds for all of her grandchildren and organize an amazing trip for her entire family.

Ginny met her husband Buzz while attending Western Washington University. They dated for several years and then one afternoon Buzz decided it was time to get married. He took Ginny to the top jewelry store in downtown Everett and they selected matching wedding rings. The wedding took place the following Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Everett. When it's time, it's time!

Ginny and Buzz have 4 awesome children, 7 grandchildren and a 15 year old orange cat named Simon. With the exception of their son Ben (who is attending school in Arizona),  all of their children live close by and come over for family dinner every Sunday night. A perfect day for Ginny would be Sunshine and family.

Amy Oppie

Amy Oppie

Amy is the 2nd Councilor in the Primary Presidency.  She recently decided to stay home with her 2 little boys after 8 years of  working as a research scientist/chemist.

She likes dancing, sports, baking, can never watch Sense and Sensibility enough times and doesn’t think there is anything that smells as good as a new baby!  When she has 30 minutes of free time she will usually catch up on sleep (thanks to her 8 month old). When she’s goes out to eat she likes Thai food and Red Robin where she has eaten for her birthday every year since she was 16!

Amy met her husband Nathan in the Lynwood stake singles ward. He proposed by playing (after learning how to play) her favorite song ‘more than words’ on the guitar and gave her his great grandmothers wedding ring.  Together they have 2 boys Memphis (city in Tennessee) who is 2 ½ and Nash (city in Texas) who is 8 months old. They also have a little Chihuahua named peanut.  Their favorite thing to do as a family is go to the beach any time of year! If they won a million dollars they would go on a big ol’ vacation after Nathan finishes school!

Heidi Bennett

Heidi Bennett

Heidi is Young Women's Secretary. She is currently working as a licensed veterinary technician at a small animal hospital along with being a Veterinary medical distributor.

She likes animals, daisies, the smell of cotton blossoms, pizza, the Carousel restaurant in Yakima and all craftiness. When she has 30 minutes of free time she usually starts a craft that ends up taking way longer than 30 minutes. She would someday love to add sewing and playing the guitar to her talent list.

If Heidi won a million dollars she would buy a house and help a lot of animal shelters/rescues. She also secretly wishes she was batman.

Heidi met her husband Eric at Ben and Jerry's in Kirkland. He later proposed on the Kirkland waterfront. They celebrated their one year anniversary by going on a cruise to Mexico. Together they have 3 pets: a mini schnauzer, an amazon parrot and her husbands "angry orange cat". They enjoy playing games together and with friends. A perfect day for them would be sleeping in and eating eggs benedict.
