Amy Oppie
Amy is the 2nd Councilor in the Primary Presidency. She recently decided to stay home with her 2
little boys after 8 years of working as a research
scientist/chemist.
She likes dancing, sports, baking, can never watch Sense and Sensibility
enough times and doesn’t think there is anything that smells as good as a new
baby! When she has 30 minutes of free
time she will usually catch up on sleep (thanks to her 8 month old). When she’s
goes out to eat she likes Thai food and Red Robin where she has eaten for her
birthday every year since she was 16!
Amy met her husband Nathan in the Lynwood stake singles ward. He proposed
by playing (after learning how to play) her favorite song ‘more than words’ on
the guitar and gave her his great grandmothers wedding ring. Together they have 2 boys Memphis (city in Tennessee)
who is 2 ½ and Nash (city in Texas) who is 8 months old. They also have a little
Chihuahua named peanut. Their favorite
thing to do as a family is go to the beach any time of year! If they won a
million dollars they would go on a big ol’ vacation after Nathan finishes
school!
