Paulette Day

Paulette Day

Paulette is currently serving as the 1st Councilor in the Relief Society Presidency. She  works part time providing emergency supplies and food storage through Thrive Life and has worked as a business manager for MassMutual Seattle (life insurance) for 43 years and is still having fun!

She has 3 sons and 4 grandchildren (3 girls and 1 boy). Paulette has 2 dog bite marks on the back of her leg from when she got bit while riding her bike as a teenager but she still likes dogs anyways and now has 2 labs and 1 tabby cat. Paulette's favorite thing to do with her family is have the grandkids overnight and bake chocolate chip cookies from scratch with them. They always come over to celebrate her birthday. Her sons make homemade chicken fettuccine and her grandkids make the cake.

Paulette loves tulips, the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls,  gardening, hiking, outdoors, book club and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). She hopes to one day add hearing and singing notes correctly to her talent list since she is tone deaf like her mother before her. She also likes the movie Pride & Prejudice and Hallmark movies. When she has 30 minutes of free time she will usually read and would highly recommend the books "Christmas Jars" by Jason Wright.

If she could be any fictional character she would choose Wonder Woman with her rope of Truth and would also like the magical power of instant travel; just think of a place and boom you're there.

Some of Paulettes fondest memories are from trips. She has been to Australia twice and plans to go for a 3rd time in December to visit her pen pal of 50 years. Also ever other year she goes on a trip with 5 close friends from her home town. They go somewhere different each year so their fun group of 60 somethings can act like giggly teenagers without embarrassing their families.  A perfect day for Paulette would be going to the temple with a friend, then lunch, then having the rest of the day to ponder, read or garden without time commitments.
