Lisa Fisher
Lisa is currently serving in our ward as the primary pianist which is her favorite calling. She has a B.S. in Horticulture from BYU but is thrilled to claim full time mommy at her job right now.
She met her husband Nic in her BYU student ward. They were both leaders of different FHE groups for Fall semester and then the groups were rearranged for Winter semester. The people in charge of all the groups put Lisa and Nic together as leaders because they liked Lisa's lessons but wanted to play more sports like Nic's group. Lisa and Nic were engaged by the end of that semester and their group never even realized they had started dating.
They now have 5 kids; Nicholas 11, Bennett 9, Charlotte 6, Andrew 3 and Simon 1. Until Simon was born she could claim that she had each of her children in a different state - Utah, Indiana, Florida and Washington
Their favorite things to do as a family are hiking, camping, watching movies/sports, and playing board games. They love birthdays and have a "bite out of the cake" tradition. On your birthday you take one bite out of your birthday cake and cutting around that bite results in an extra large piece for the birthday girl or boy. Not to mention the fun their siblings have trying to push their whole face into the cake. As a side note, this is only done at small family birthday parties and was started on Lisa's side of the family.
Lisa likes eating at Red Robin because of the steak fries and campfire sauce and her favorite flower is a tie between a lily and a rose (she had both in her wedding bouquet). She enjoys, playing the piano and violin, gardening, sewing, reading and baking but when she find 30 minutes of free time she will most likely do nothing, just sit and do absolutely nothing or maybe go to the bathroom all by herself with no kids.
If she won a million dollars Lisa would pay off student loans, buy a house with a large yard for gardening, visit France (especially the gardens at the Palace of Versailles), and put the rest in savings for retirement and her kids missions. And probably hire someone to do her dishes, she'd rather clean the toilet.
Lisa is most grateful for a piano in her home, wonderful kids especially when they help without being asked, and a husband who is always willing to scratch her back or rub her feet.
